Vitamin C plays an important role as it participates in a series of important processes in the body. It strengthens and boosts immunity, collagen synthesis, and helps in the absorption of iron in the blood.
Indications
Used for: 
  • Prevention and healp treat scurvy. 
  • Acidification of urine.
  • Prevention and treatment of situations that require a larger amount of vitamin C such as: pregnancy and breastfeeding, hyperthyroidism, moderate or severe infections, hemorrhage from the gums, methemoglobinemia, wound healing. 
Instructions for use
Always read the leaflet or consult with your doctor or pharmacist before use. 
The tablet should be swallowed with a glass of water. 
The dosage is given as follows: 
  • For deficiency prevention: 25-75 mg per day. 
  • For the treatment of Vitamin C deficiency: 250 mg or more a day. 
  • For adults: 300-500 mg, 2-3 times a day. 
  • For children: 50-100 mg, 2-3 times a day. 
Warning
DO NOT take Vitamin C if: 
  • Suffer from hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid or other components of the formula. 
  • Suffer from hyperoxaluria.
Precautions:
Ask your doctor before taking Vitamin C if: 
  • You have been treated with ascorbic acid for a long time because this can lead to an increase in the metabolism of the drug and scurvy may appear in the period when the intake of vitamin C is reduced to normal amounts. 
  • You have a genetic predisposition to hemochromatosis because in this case there may be an increased risk of greater iron absorption. 
  • Your child suffers from glucose-6-phosphate. dehydrogenase deficiency because there is a risk of hemolysis. 
Consult with your doctor when you are taking Vitamin C with: 
  • 30 mg of iron, because Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron from the gastrointestinal tract. 
  • Aspirin, because there is an increase in urinary excretion of ascorbic acid and decreased excretion of aspirin. 
  • Salicylates  
  • Warfarin beacause decreases the anticoagulant effect of warfarin. 
  • Fluphenazine - co-administration leads to a decrease in the plasma concentration of fluphenazine. 
Other information
Keep away from children. 
Do not use this product after the expiry date which is stated on the carton.  
Store at temperature 25°C.
