ASPIRIN BAYER 500 MG - 20 TABLETS

 
 
Aspirin Bayer are tablets with 500 mg acetylsalicylic acid used to relieve pain, fever and reduce inflammation.
 
Product description
Aspirin contains acetylsalicylic acid. It  is an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflamatory substance (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory/analgesic)  
  • The analgesic effect is due to the fact that acetylsalicylic acid counteracts the formation in the tissue of special substances (prostaglandins) that increase the sensitivity to pain. 
  • The decrease in fever is due to the fact that acetylsalicylic acid increases the body's heat release.
Indications
  • Relieves pain, fever and inflammation
  • For headache, toothache, muscle and joint pain as well as menstrual pain.
  • From 12 years of age. From 18 years of age with fever. 
Instructions for use
  • Always  take Aspirin 500 exactly as directed in the patient information leaflet or ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure how to take this medicine.
  • Take Aspirin 500 tablets with plenty of liquid (glass of water).
  • You should not take Aspirin on an empty stomach.
Dosage:
Unless  otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
Age  Single dose Total daily dose
Children * aged above 12 years 1 tablet Up to 3 tablets
Adolescents * and adults 1-2 tablets 3-6 tablets
*Aspirin 500 should not be taken by children or adolescents with feverish illness unless they have been instructed to do so by a doctor and other therapeutic measures have failed. Prolonged vomiting in conjuction with such illnesses could be a sign of Reye’s syndrome, a very rare but life-threatening disease which requires immediate medical attention.
Duration of administration:
  • The single dose can be taken at intervals of 4 to 8 hours if necessary, up to a maximum of 3 doses a day.
  • Do not take Aspirin 500 for longer than 4 days.
Warning
DO NOT use this product:
  • If you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates or any of other ingredients of Aspirin 500.
  • If you have acute gastric or duodenal ulcers
  • If you have a pathologically increased tendency to bleed.
  • Before surgery
  • If you have liver or kidney failure.
  • If you have severe, non-stabilized heart failure (cardiac insufficiency)
  • If you are concurrently taking 15 mg or more methotrexate per week.
  • If you are suffering from severe glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.
  • During the last trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist: 
  • If you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
  • If you are hypersensitive to other analgesics / anti-inflammatory special drugs against rheumatism or inflammation or other allergenic substances.
  • If you have impaired liver or kidney function
  • If you have allergies, asthma, hay fever or nasal polyps.
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding

Storage Conditions
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. 
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is printed on the tablet strips and the cardboard box.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Not to be stored above 25°C 
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Acetylsalicylic acid. 1 tablet contains 500 mg acetylsalicylic acid.
The other ingredients are: Cellulose powder, Maize starch.
