APOTEL 500 MG - 12 EFFERVESCENT TABLETS

 
 
Apotel is used for relieving pain of different origins. It relieves symptoms of cold and flu in adults and children over 12 years old. Apotel contains effervescent tablets with lemon flavour that are easy to take and give immediate effect.
 
Product description
Apotel contains paracetamol (acetaminophen) as its main ingredient which has analgesic action (soothes pain) and antipyretic (lowers temperature). Paracetamol is used to treat painful conditions such as arthritis, headache, muscle aches, backache and toothaches. It also relieves symptoms of cold and flu.  It reduces pain in mild arthritis but has no effect on the underlying inflammation and swelling of the joint.
Indications
It is indicated:
  • Relief from pain including headache, neuralgia, toothace, period pain, sore throat, rheumatic and muscular pains.
  • Relief from fever.
Instructions for use
Always read the leaflet or consult with your doctor before using.
  • Adolescents of 12 to 15 years and weighing 41 to 50 kg is recommended one tablet to be taken every 4-6 hours when necessary to a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours. Maximum single dose is 500 mg (1 effervescent tablet).
  • Adolescents of 16 to 18 years and weighing more than 50 kg: as adults.
  • Adults and children 16 years and older: The usual dose is one or two tablets, every 4 – 6 hours when necessary to a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours, without exceeding 4g of Paracetamol a day (8 tablets). Maximum single dose is 1g (2 effervescent tablets).
Warning
DO NOT use in children aged less than 12 years old.
DO NOT use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
 
Precautions:
Consult with your doctor before using if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • You have liver or renal function impairment.
  • You are taking other medication (Cholestyramine, metoclopramide, domperidone, hepatic enzyme inducers such as: phenobarbital, medicines with hepatotoxic action eg; NSAID, barbiturics, tricyclic antidepressants, alcohol, probecenid, oral anticoagulants, lamotrigine, antiepileptic or oral steriod contraceptives).
