ASPIRIN PROTECT 100 MG - 30 TABLETS

 
 
Aspirin protect is used to prevent heart attacks and recurrent clot-related strokes (ischemic) in people who are at risks. It prevents thromboses after surgeries on the mblood vessels. It has film coating making it less likely to cause stomach discomfort.
Product description
Aspirin Protect contains acetylsalicylic acid in low doses, a drug that belongs to a group of medicines called anti-platelet agents.  It inhibits the coagulation of the blood platelets even in small concentrations.  It is used for preventing heart attacks and clot related strokes. These events are caused by blood clots which prevent the blood from flowing freely in the artery thus leading to the death of the heart`s muscle or tissues in the brain due to the lack of oxygen. It also suitable in the treatment of stable or unstable angina. 
Indications
It is indicated: 
  • to reduce the risk of blood clots 
  • to prevent the further occurrence of heart attacks, strokes 
  • For cardiovascular problems in patients who suffer from stable or unstable angina (a type of chest pain). 
  • to prevent the formation of blood clots after certain types of heart surgery, in order to increase or to unblock the blood vessels. 
Instructions for use
Route of administration: Oral use 
The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient fluid (1/2 cup water) at least half an hour before a meal. The tablets have a gastro-resistant coating, which prevents irritation of the intestines and therefore should not be crushed, broken or chewed. 
Dosage 
Prevention of arterial thromboses without bypass surgery on the coronary vessels and after dilation (balloon dilation) of constricted coronary vessels: 100 mg/day.  
Prevention of arterial thromboses after bypass surgery on the coronary vessels and after dilation (balloon dilation) of constricted coronary vessels: 100–300 mg/day. 
Prevention of strokes: 3×100 mg/day.  
Prevention of thromboses after myocardial infarction and treatment of unstable angina pectoris: 1×100 mg/day.  
 Prevention of heart attacks in patients after a high risk was determined by a physician: 1 × 100 mg/day 
  
Warning
DO NOT take Aspirine Protect : 
  • if you are allergic of ingredients of this medicine.  
  • if you have ulceration, problems with your stomach or intestines 
  • if you have renal and hepatic impairment 
  • if you have respiratory disorders and hypersensitivity reactions 
  • if you have high blood pressure or heart or circulatory problems 
  • If you have a pathological increased tendency to bleed. 
  • If you have to take methotrexate concomitantly in dose of more than 15 mg per week 
  • In the last three months of pregnancy. 
Aspirin protect is not recommended for children and adolescents under the age of 18. 
 
Precautions:
Take special care with Aspirine Protect if:  
  • Your condition does not improve. 
  • You have serious kidney, liver or gastro-intestinal problems. 
  • You suffer from other chronic disorders and asthma, urticaria, nasal polyps and other allergies, glucose-6-phospate dehydrogenase deficiency. 
  • Do not drink alcohol while taking Aspirine Protect. 
  • The use of Aspirin Protect whilst pregnant or breast feeding should be avoided. 
  • You are taking other drugs. 
Other information
Keep the medicine out of sight and reach of children. Do not store above 25°C. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
