Helmintox is a drug used for treating intestinal infections caused by parasites. It can be used in adults and children.

Helmintox contains pyrantel which is an antihelmintique drug that fights intestinal infections caused by parasites. It treats parasitosis such as ascariasis, pinworm infection and hookworm infection. It is suitable for use in children and adults.

Adults and children over 6 years old
Ascariasis and oxyuriasis: 10 mg/kg to 12 mg/kg as a single dose.
Children: One tablet per 20 kg as a single dose.
Adults weighing under 75 kg: 3 tablets as a single dose.
Adults weighing over 75 kg: 4 tablets as a single dose.
To avoid reinfection it is recommended to take a second dose 3 weeks after the first one. Also it is recommended to follow hygienic rules.
Ancylostomiasis (Severe duodenal Ancylostomiasis or infections caused by Necator Americanus)
Children: 1 tablet per 10 kg a day
Adults weighing under 75 k: 6 tablets a day
Adults weighing over 75 kg: 8 tablets a day
Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the pack. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
This medication should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

Quantity corresponding to pyrantel base 250.00 mg For a scored film-coated tablet.
