Tachipirina Syrup 120 mg/5 ml is a syrup containing paracetamol. It is used for relieving symptoms of cold, relieving pain and reducing temperature. Tachipirina Syrup should be used in adults and children from 7.2 kg in weight (approximately 5-6 months).
Product description
Tachipirina Syrup 120 mg/5ml is a syrup for oral use. It contains paracetamol as its active ingredient.
Tachipirina syrup is used for treatment of mild to moderate pain such as: headache,migraine,toothache, cramps and other various origins of pain. It is also indicated for fever, temperature and symptoms of common cold.
Indications
It is indicated in:
  • Reducing temperature
  • Relieving symptoms of common cold and flu and other respiratory tract diseases
  • The relief of mild to moderate pain such as headaches, sore throat, toothache, minor muscular pains or strains and other various origins of pain.
Instructions for use
Use this medicine exactly as described in enclosed leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
For oral and short-term use only. Shake well before use.
Use the syringe inside of the cup to measure the dose accurately
Dosage
In children up to 10 years of age it is essential to respect the dosage defined on the basis of body weight and not on the basis of age.
  • Children weighing between 7 and 10 kg (approximately between 6 and 18 months): 5 ml at a time), to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 doses per day.
  •  Children weighing between 11 and 12 kg (approximately between 18 and 24 months): 5 ml at a time), to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 doses per day.
  •  Children weighing between 13 and 20 kg (approximately between 2 and 7 years): 7.5 - 10 ml at a time to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding the 4 administrations per day.
  •  Children weighing between 21 and 25 kg (approximately between 6 and 10 years): 10 ml at a time to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 doses per day.
  • Children weighing between 26 and 40 kg (approximately between 8 and 13 years): 15-20 ml at a time to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 doses per day.
  •  Boys weighing between 41 and 50 kg (approximately between 12 and 15 years): 20 ml at a time ,to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 doses per day.
  •  Children weighing more than 50 kg (approximately over 15 years): 20 ml at a time to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 doses per day.
  •  Adults: 20 ml at a time ,to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 doses per day. 
Warning
DO NOT take more medicine than the label tells you to.
DO NOT give this medicine to your child if:
 -is weighing less than 7.2 kg
 - is allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
 - has severe haemolytic anemia (disease caused by the destruction of certain blood cells, the red blood cells)
 - has severe liver disease
 
Precautions:
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before giving this product if the child:
has or had asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, a stroke, heart, liver, kidney or stomach problems.
The following warnings concerns to adults. Medical advice is required before taking this medicine in case of the following conditions:
  • Pregnancy
  • Breast-feeding
  • Being a smoker, alcoholic
  • Have an underlying medical condition
  • Taking any other medication or complementary therapy
  •  If symptoms persist or suffer from allergies.

Active ingredient: Each 5 ml of oral suspension contains 120 mg paracetamol
Also contains: Sucrose, Sodium citrate, Sodium saccharin, Methyl parahydroxybenzoate, Potassium sorbate, Macrogol 6000, Citric acid monohydrate, Strawberry flavor, Mandarin aroma, Purified Water.
