Salospir based on acetylsalicylic acid contains gastroresistant tablets that are gentle on stomach.It relieves from different kind of pains rheumatic diseases and reduces temperature. This medicine helps to prevent heart attacks and strokes in people at high risk of them.
It is also used for protection against cardiac and cerebral thrombosis as a blood thinner.

Salospir 100 mg contains as its active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid. It treats mild to moderate pain, feverish conditions and inflammatory diseases
(rheumatic diseases).
Salospir for doses up to 325 mg is used to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction in patients with unstable angina or in patients who have had a previous myocardial infarction. It proctects from cardiac and cerebral thrombosis. It is formulated as gastro-resistant tablet that is well tolerated in stomach.

| Instructions for use |
Always read the leaflet or consult with your doctor or pharmacist before use.
For treating pain and fever:
Adults: 300-900 mg every 4-6 hours. Maximum daily dose 4 g.
Children: 10-15 mg /kg/4h up to 60 mg/kg/day. Use for fever in children under 12 years is not recommended.
As a an anti-rheumatic: 0.3-1 g every 4 hours. Maximum daily dose 8 g.
Acute myocardial infarction reocurrence: 80- 100 mg/day.
Ischemic stroke: 80-325 mg/day.
Stable or Unstable angina: 80-325 mg/day.
Thrombosis: 80-325mg/day
Deep vein Thrombosis and pulmonary embolism: 80-200 mg/day or 300-325 mg every 2 days.
Reduction of risk of occurrence of infraction: 80-100 mg/day or 300-325 mg every 2 days.
To be taken before meals with enough amount of water.

DO NOT use this medicine in cases of:
-Allergy to acetylsalicylic acid or any of the excipients.
-History of asthma.
-Gastroduodenal ulcer, history of peptic haemorrhage.
-Severe hepatic or renal insuffiency.
-Severe heart failure.
-Bleeding disorders.
DO NOT take/use Salospir if:
-You are on the last trimester of pregnancy.
-You are taking heparin.
-You are elderly.
-You are taking ibuprofen or methotrexate.
-In children
Precautions:
Tell your doctor if you are taking other drugs because the concomitant use of the drugs may cause an increase or decrease of the effect of each drugs or adverse interactions.
